WordFinance is headquartered in North Carolina, United States, and is publicly operated under the name Satoshi Mineiro. Developers around the world collaborate in their own languages to build a decentralized, distributed ecosystem rooted in libertarian principles, open participation and user control.

Built by a global contributor network.
Nineteen volunteer developers and blockchain engineers contribute their time to connecting and maintaining WordFinance's wallets, tokens, games, websites and other systems. They work across countries and languages, with room for new contributors to join.
Non-custodial wallets
Users keep control of their keys and approve their own actions. Wallet integrations must preserve those boundaries.

WFC, Pixcoin and other products have distinct networks, purposes and operating rules. Each product page explains its current status.
Open to developers
Developers worldwide are welcome to propose implementations and integrations through the public documentation and official contact channel.
Supported by donors
Volunteer work and donations help keep parts of the ecosystem, including its servers, running. Contributions do not change users' custody or approval rights.
Keeping the work going.
Donors help pay for servers that support parts of the ecosystem. WordFinance also wants to secure long-term resources for experimental post-quantum security research.
Infrastructure support
Some contributors donate funds or infrastructure so volunteer developers can continue their work. We will name individual supporters only with their approval.
WFC and future research
The independent WFC partner project could support future post-quantum research under a separately published allocation. Its published first-round plan directs the net balance to WFC liquidity; no research funding from that round is claimed here. Read the current WFC terms.
